The International Day of Charity is observed annually on 5th September. The prime purpose of the International Day of Charity is to raise awareness and provide a common platform for charity related activities all over the world for individuals, charitable, philanthropic and volunteer organizations for their own purposes on the local, national, regional and international level.
In view of the above; Dreams from the Slum Empowerment Initiative is commemorating this day through her annual #SmartInSchool Project; which is designed to orientate people living in the slum on the importance of education, inclusiveness , and support for children with dyslexia , limb loss and provide educational scholarships , educational materials for rural and out of school children living in Ajegunle, so they can be smart in school in the new school session.
The outreach is scheduled to hold on Saturday 4th of September , 2021 in Ajegunle and we hope to pay the school fee of 50 children for a year and reach 500 children with educational materials and orientate over 1,000 adults .
