African Creative Entrepreneur – An inquisitive Nigerian-born collaborator with a lot of the finest creatives, humanitarian, policy influencers, industrial and lifestyle brands that are part of our daily life.
Onye Ubanatu is a producer, director, cinematographer, award-winning photographer and creative facilitator with vast experience in filming and photography in Nigeria, Africa and some parts of the world including the Middle East and South America.
He works in a diverse range of documentary projects, television shows, local and International concerts, corporate videos, International News features, award winning short and feature films. His company and platform “Mypassion,Mylife Media” is a functioning and inspiring platform for young Nigerian creative entrepreneurs, which won the 2012 vendor of the year at The Nigerian Events Awards.
Onye Ubanatu can be described as an inspiration to youths who crave to be enterprising in the creative industry, using his daily experience and real life stories to affect all in a positive light. He is extremely passionate about his work as a tool for social and community development; this has led him in creating the first ever-rural based medical documentary series in Delta state, Nigeria geared towards solving primary health care issues whereby bringing preventive healthcare information to people with less access to urban life.
Onye Ubanatu has traveled across Nigeria, and other parts of Africa and the World on the platform of top humanitarian agencies, corporate organization, and has interviewed top policy makers, Entrepreneurs, Governors, Presidents, amongst them is former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the current president of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit nationally which includes speaking engagement at the IREP international documentary film festival, Delta Mega Youth Summit, Benson Idahosa University, the American Embassy in Yaounde Cameroun, University of Lagos (creative art department) and Yabatech.
